About Me
My name is Daeana. In 2003 I decided I wanted a new start in life, so I reinvented myself and changed careers. I wanted something that had meaning and brought me into contact with people.
I had received Reiki from a dear friend in 2001 and decided that was what I wanted to do, so I became attuned to Reiki I energy in the Autumn of that year, and underwent Reiki ii in the following spring / summer.
In 2003, I enrolled on a Holistic Therapy Diploma at Chesterfield college, where I was taught anatomy and physiology and learnt how to do various treatments. At the end of the year I qualified to perform Aromatherapy massage, Swedish Massage, Indian head massage, Reflexology and Non medical diet and nutrition.
The following year I attended night school and studied vctc manicure, nail technology and nail art. In the same year, I became interested in Quantum Touch and how I could help people benefit from this powerful treatment. I attained practitioner status and went on to a weekend course to learn Core Transformation technique and I use them both in treatments.
In 2008 I bought a seated massage chair and went on a course to learn how to use this technique. I find it beneficial to a wide range of people. It is wonderful as stress relief and, as the chair is light and portable, it lends itself perfectly to working mobile, working in a corporate setting or at trade shows etc.
This year (2009) I qualified for a VCTC Stone Therapy Diploma. In this treatment I use both heated and chilled stones to assist in massage. The results can be amazing.
I have been helping out at a cancer self help group twice monthly since 2004 and have recently been helping people with MS, and am studying more about this condition.
